Last day of the third Quarter. Last day of school before Spring Break. Last day we try to eat pancakes that had been in the freezer for 4 months.

Back on track with the timing! Headed to school to help set up "Whack the Duck" for the carnival. Then Girl Scouts preparation. Oh, and my custom designed chairs to match my custom table are ready to be evaluated. And the fourth day in a row of SUN! YEAH!!!

Didn't forget the photo yesterday, just late in getting it loaded. We headed to Nanxiang first thing in the morning and I didn't have the energy to load the 380 pictures. Unfortunately Tuesday Daily Pic was #1 on the memory card!

It appears that spring has finally arrived and will stay! Today Natalie has an all day field trip that I decided NOT to do. The all day ones are LONG and while it might be one of the last chances for me to do that, I decided to send her on her own! The smile today is fake due to the fact she was annoyed at me. We found a container of color-changing Silly Putty in her backpack (we don't usually use the backpack for school, she has a messenger bag she prefers) and I wouldn't let her take it with her. I had a premonition of Silly Putty in someone's hair without me there to monitor the "play" associated with it. The caption was her real comment as she is wearing her "ocean" bandana and has on sun tan lotion!

Rain again. Really?  Can't wait for rainy season to start next month. Anyway, it's Friday so how bad can it be?  Natalie was exuberant over the fact that her special breakfast treat was salami. She said it was like staying in a hotel. I think that was a compliment.

Daily Picture Grade 4 - Day 128

Tom is back in the US so it was a quiet morning. Though I do not mean to imply that Tom is chatty in the morning. But he does divert attention from Natalie and this morning I had her all to myself! This is especially poignant as she seems to think she has grown to mature for casual chatting! Anywho, this morning she was just fun to hang with. No drama. No conflict. Just a 9 year old growing up too fast.

The sun is shining today! YEAH! And these are not fresh strawberries, but I am getting rid of the frozen ones since this is the start of strawberry season here.

Tuesday makes a theme. Guess what she is eating? You would think that with the very expensive (and rare to find) Mrs. Butterworths (lite) syrup that she might be eating these fabulous carrot cake pancakes I pinned, but no, that's not it. Leftover pancake from the Saturday morning dessert (I fed the girls from Natalie's sleepover hotdogs and cookies with pancakes for dessert)? Nope. Cold tofu. Scooped out of the container. The girl is nutty! But healthy.

Daily Picture Grade 4 - Day 125

Natalie is sick today. Well, she was actually sick last night. Kind of hard to fake vomiting (though she has seen Ferris Bueller so she might have tricked us!) so we kept her home today. I think she was sick as she wanted to take a bath because she felt dirty. She had beef soup broth for breakfast. Hmmm, probably set a bad example with the hot dogs and cookies for breakfast on Saturday. We used the Harry Potter wand to make her tummy feel better so I am sure she will be at school tomorrow!

Green free dress day! And she had to wear something unique for Girl Scouts so she went with a scarf. Not sure that will actually call any attention to her. But now that I think about it, she probably doesn't need any more attention on her when at school! That is Cinnamon wishing you a Happy St. Pat's day too!

Daily Picture Grade 4 - Day 123

OMG I forgot again!!!  Really, twice in one week? Must be the rain. Sine I had to take the shot when she was asleep, I had to sneak in and had Mucho all arranged in a funny pose. Took a picture, but forgot the flash. Turned on flash and took another but she had already rolled over and was sleeping on top of Mucho. So much for my "I forgot to take but made up for up it in the cleverness of the composition" shot.
